Van Gogh & i maledetti

After the successful immersive exhibition dedicated to Magritte, the Church of Santo Stefano al Ponte, a real Cathedral of the Image, hosts Van Gogh & i maledetti, a new combination of images, sounds and lights. The exhibition, set from 1 August to 11 October 2020, will be open from Monday to Friday, without the need for reservations.

The multimedia show, made possible by the Oculus VR technology, guides the visitor on a surprising 360-degree journey in the universe of Van Gogh and the cursed painters like him. An intense digital story lasting about an hour, created by multi-projections in very high definition and a soundtrack in Dolby HD, traces the human and artistic story of Van Gogh and of other artists. Alongside Vincent Van Gogh, the protagonists of the innovative exhibition are Paul Cézanne, Paul Gauguin, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Chaïm Soutine and the Italian Amedeo Modigliani.

Thanks to the latest generation technologies, Van Gogh & i maledetti offers a proactive approach to art, made spectacular, immersive and experiential. A representation certainly closer to the changed habits of the public of the third millennium, accustomed to multimedia formats rather than traditional two-dimensionality.
